1. What kind of food is provided at the conference and what if I have special dietary requirements?

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be supplied during the conference. There will also be a cocktail reception on 1 May and a conference dinner on 3 May. All of these are included in your conference registration fee. Every effort will be made to ensure delegates with special dietary needs are catered for. Should you require any special catering, please ensure you mark this on your registration form.

2. Are ATM and eftpos facilities available?

There is an ATM available in the downstairs cafe at the Gallery. The Gallery cafes and the bookshop accept payment by credit card and eftpos.

3. Where are the closest facilities (chemist, supermarket, local restaurant)?

This depends on where you are staying. The closest shops to the Gallery are in the suburbs of Manuka and Kingston. Both of these shopping centres have amenities including a supermarket, chemist and many restaurants to choose from. Major department and chain stores are located in the city centre (Civic).

4. Are there smoking areas at the conference location?

The Parliamentary triangle has a smoke-free policy. Smoking is not permitted inside or outside the Gallery or in car parks.

5. How can I be contacted during the conference?

You are welcome to bring your mobile device to the conference. As a courtesy to speakers and delegates, you are requested to switch off mobile phones during sessions and in the Gallery exhibition spaces..

6. Can I take photographs at the conference?

As a courtesy to speakers we ask that delegates do not take photos during the sessions. Photography is not allowed in the gallery spaces. Photographs can be taken in the outdoor spaces around the Gallery and inside Gandel Hall, the location of meal/refreshment breaks and the conference dinner. Photographs can also be taken during the cocktail reception in Gordon Darling Hall at the National Portrait Gallery.

7. Will the conference keynote be recorded?

Some sessions will be recorded.

8. How do I get a copy of my registration invoice/receipt?

These will be posted to your local AAGGO representative for distribution by April 2013.

9. Can I transfer my conference registration to a colleague if I cannot attend the conference?

Attendee substitutions are allowed, but notification must be made in writing via email to the conference registrations officer at carol.hunt@bigpond.com. Registrants who fail to attend the conference and do not notify the conference committee in writing are responsible for full payment.

10. Will you refund my fees if I am unable to attend the conference? What is the cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend the conference, and are unable to transfer your registration to another person, you may request a refund of your conference registration fee. A full refund will be provided for cancellations before 18 March 2013 – written notification via email must be made through your AAGGO representative.

After 18 March, the amount you are refunded will depend upon the date we receive your request. It may be necessary for late cancellations to be notified by individuals directly to the conference registrations officer at carol.hunt@bigpond.com.

11. Can partners attend the cocktail party reception or conference dinner?

Unfortunately not. Only conference participants can attend the social functions as the capacity of the venues for these events is limited.

12. Can partners attend the post conference activity?

Possibly. If you are interested, please contact Carol Hunt (carol.hunt@bigpond.com).
