Registration

 

Registration for the AAGGO conference is open to voluntary guides at the 19 Australian art galleries and museums that form the membership of AAGGO.

AAGGO member galleries are:

Art Gallery of Ballarat; Art Gallery of New South Wales; Art Gallery of South Australia; Art Gallery of Western Australia; Australian War Memorial; Bathurst Regional Art Gallery; Carrick Hill (Adelaide); Dubbo Regional Gallery; Geelong Gallery; Heide Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Contemporary Art; National Gallery of Australia; National Gallery of Victoria; Newcastle Regional Art Gallery; Orange Regional Gallery; Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (Launceston); Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art; Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery; Wagga Wagga Art Gallery; Wollongong City Gallery.

 

Registration process

All applications for conference registration will be processed by the AAGGO representative at each member gallery/museum. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, not all AAGGO members will be able to attend. Instead, galleries will be assigned a delegate allocation in proportion to the size of their guiding body. Additional places may become available to interested galleries/museums if some organisations do not fill their quota.

Registration forms will be available from your AAGGO representative from early November 2012. Completed registration forms must be submitted to your local AAGGO representative, who will endorse and forward them to the National Gallery's AAGGO Organising Committee.

All applications must be lodged with the National Gallery of Australia Conference Organising Committee by Friday 18 January 2013. Your local AAGGO rep will inform you when applications close at your gallery and about the local selection process.

Interested galleries may be allocated additional registrations in February 2013 if places are available.

Conference fee

The 2013 conference fee will be similar to the 2011 conference at $350. This fee includes all morning and afternoon teas, two lunches, one cocktail reception, one dinner and the conference satchel.

Cancellation Policy

Each gallery is expected to manage its delegate list and find replacements for delegates who have to cancel. Refunds will be provided for cancellations notified by AAGGO representatives until 18 March. Refunds or cancellations after that date will be subject to the committee's discretion.
