Quo Vadis Traditional Indonesian Textiles

Iwan Tirta, leading Indonesian textiles and fashion designer, batik maker and author of numerous books and articles on Indonesian batik, was one of the key figures instrumental in the revitalisation of Indonesian batik in the second half of the 20th century. His lecture willl explore directions for Indonesian batik and traditional textile crafts in a time of technological and cultural change.
