William Prichard Weston (1804–1888) of ‘Hythe’ near Longford was a pastoralist and politician. He was elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 1856 and was the third Premier of Tasmania. He was a deeply religious man who helped John West establish the Congregational church in Launceston, and with him played a prominent role in the movement to end the transportation of convicts to Australia.
