Fox depicted his subject lying on a bed with her face averted. He expressed delight in the female form, showing the nude’s sensuous body fully exposed. Fox was interested in capturing the effects of light, depicting the nude lying in front of a window, with light filtering through flimsy curtains and slatted blind.
