Sieglinde Karl works in the arena of jewellery, making pieces such as Relics of a lost culture, a large, bandolier-like object, where the entire body is used as a point of departure. Karl has inscribed linked driftwood ‘message sticks’ with her own and friends’ writing and poetry, commenting on the fragility of the ecology and the indigenous culture of Tasmania.
