HORN, Tim, 1964

Timothy Horn was born in Melbourne in 1964. He received a Bachelor of Fine Art (Sculpture) at Victoria College, Melbourne, in 1986, and a Post-graduate Diploma in Fine Art (Sculpture) from the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, in 1988. Horn received a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) in glass from the Canberra School of Art, the Australian National University, in 2001. Horn has had three solo exhibitions, in 1989, 1992 and 2001. His work has been included in national and international group shows including the Australian Sculpture Triennial, Melbourne, 1990; Venezia Aperto Vetro, Venice, Italy, 1998; Glass, Essentially, Canberra, 1999; and Vanessa Buemi and Timothy Horn, Object Galleries, Sydney, 2001. Horn has received several awards and grants including an Arts ACT Project Funding Grant for 2002, a Project Development Grant from the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council in 1991, and the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Trust in 1987. Timothy Horn lives and works in Canberra.
