Ten listeners have the opportunity to be treated to a special event at the National Gallery of Australia for Turner from the Tate: The Making of a Master before it opens to the public.
The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday 1 June, however ten 666 ABC Canberra listeners will have the opportunity to attend a preview tour of the exhibition on Friday 31 May, followed by an afternoon high tea with Alex Sloan and the 666 Afternoons program as they broadcast live from the 'Turner Tea Room' at the National Gallery of Australia.
- 12:30 – 1:30pm: Private viewing and tour of the Turner from the Tate exhibition.
- 1:30 – 3pm: Afternoon High Tea in the Turner Tea Room at the NGA and join Alex Sloan for the 666 Afternoons program, broadcasting live.
For a bit of fun, attending guests will be encouraged to wear a 'mad hat' to the English themed afternoon high tea.
No other Canberra locals will have the opportunity to see Turner from the Tate before the exhibition opens to the public.
To enter, tell 666 ABC Canberra what is your favourite piece of artwork you own and why before Tuesday 28 May.
