Viewed from the south, this panorama shows ships anchored in Gage Roads, and buildings between Rouse Head and the Fremantle Prison. The Round House, Commissariat Store, Mews Boat Yards, St John’s Church and Manning Hall are all clearly visible. It shows the afternoon sun sinking into the ocean at the end of the day.
