Painter, sculptor, architect and poet of the High Renaissance, Michelangelo made a group of drawings about the Resurrection of Christ. The sense of twisting movement or contropposto is conveyed particularly by the many lines which capture the movement of the legs. There are touches of shading or chiaroscuro on the torso.
