In Returning from the garden Bunny conveyed a quiet domestic moment using the popular mirror device to show two perspectives of a woman, dressed in a white tea-gown, pausing to check her reflection. The mirror captures not only her reflection but also the light. The soft, sensuously flowing fabric of the gown gives this woman the air of someone to be cherished, like a valuable possession.
