Gandel Hall is a majestic multipurpose venue that is sure to make an impression on your guests. The hall is grand, spacious, light-filled and exquisitely detailed with gold-leaf doors and red ironbark floors. It opens onto a garden and James Turrell’s monumental Skyspace, which offers guests an extraordinary experience of Canberra’s skies with a light cycle taking place at dawn and dusk.
A popular venue choice for conferences and corporate functions including cocktail events, fundraisers and Christmas parties, Gandel Hall accommodates up to 350 seated guests or 900 guests for cocktails and can also be divided into three separate smaller spaces.
Gallery space on level one
The Gallery's striking architecture creates a unique backdrop for receptions, cocktail parties and functions. The space accommodates 250 guests for cocktails and is available from 6.00pm, seven days a week.
Sculpture Garden Restaurant
A popular outdoor venue, the Sculpture Garden Restaurant is located within a permanent marquee nestled among the Sculpture Garden near the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
A popular destination in the spring and summer months, it serves as the perfect location for Christmas parties, corporate lunches and cocktail functions. The nearby Fog sculpture by artist Fujiko Nakaya can be activated for your event.
The Gallery café makes a grand impression with its 10-metre-high ceilings and large windows overlooking the Sculpture Garden. This area creates a spacious and elegant atmosphere for cocktail receptions, formal dinners, functions and ceremonies.
The Gallery café accommodates 90 seated guests or 180 guests for cocktails and is available from 6.00pm, seven days a week.
James O Fairfax Theatre
The James O Fairfax Theatre is the perfect venue for lectures, seminars, presentations, conferences, movie screenings and acoustic concerts. It features a large presentation screen, comfortable tiered seating and quality acoustic design.
The James O Fairfax Theatre accommodates 267 seated guests.
