Disability Inclusion Action Plan

The National Gallery of Australia wants to make sure that everyone can experience the National Gallery and the art that we have here.

We have a three-year Disability Inclusion Action Plan to make visiting easier for people with disability. This Plan starts in 2022. In 2024 we will measure how much we have improved. Then we can make a new Plan.

We are focusing on four areas:

  1. We will help everyone who works here to become more aware of people with disability and encourage positive attitudes.
  2. We will make the Gallery more accessible for all visitors onsite, online and on tour.
  3. We will make it easier for people with disability to work with us.
  4. We will make our systems and processes easier to access and ask people with disability for feedback.

We are working with people with disability to achieve these goals.

If you would like to tell us about your experiences or find out about our access programs and services, you can email us at information@nga.gov.au or call our friendly team on +61 2 6240 6411.

If you would like to tell us what you think about our Disability Inclusion Action Plan, you can email us on disabilityinclusion@nga.gov.au.

This is a summary of the National Gallery Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022–2024 in simplified English.
