THE POSITION
The Visitor Experience Team is all about serving the Gallery’s visitors and helping ensure they have the best experience possible. Our Art Store Sales Assistant is a new role and will help drive the Gallery’s Art Store sales during the Cressida Campbell exhibition. The role is supervised and managed by the Visitor Experience Coordinators and Visitor Experience & Membership Manager, with additional support from our Retail Buyers.
The Visitor Experience (VE) Team is the face of the National Gallery, helping to ensure all of our visitors have the best experience possible. The Art Store Sales Assistant will take a lead role in driving the Art Store’s performance targets on a day-to-day basis. Supported by Visitor Experience Hosts, the role will help ensure that the Store is always appropriately stocked and presentable, as well as providing a higher level of service for complex and/or high valued products which require a greater level of training.
Additionally, the Art Stores Sales Assistant will be able to provide a higher level of support in the Art Store, such as the ability to do refunds where required.
This position of Art Store Sales Assistant is a non-ongoing, part-time role, within our fun and energetic Art Store Team. This position reports to the VE and Membership Manager and is responsible for providing frontline, on-site assistance to our valued customers in the Art Store during our Cressida Campbell exhibition.
The Gallery is open every day of the year (except Christmas Day) from 10am – 5pm.
