The National Gallery of Australia Research Library and Archives is a specialist library which comprises professional, technical and administrative staff and is responsible for appropriate services to meet the research needs of the National Gallery’s professional staff, volunteers, visiting researchers and the public.
We are looking to fill this vacancy with someone who is a qualified Librarian and has a demonstrated experience in the field, who can communicate with influence, excellent stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
The Reference Librarian is responsible for the provision of reference and reader services and assists with collection development under the broad direction from the Research Library and Archives Manager.
In this position you will provide an advanced reference service for access to the Research Library collections., identify new materials for acquisition, catalogue published materials, and oversee the library’s inter-library loan services
This position is part of the Research Library and Archives within the Learning and Digital Portfolio. This position reports to the Manager, Research Library and Archives and is a full-time ongoing role.
