Art Makers x National Gallery

The National Gallery has partnered with Art Makers to commission three major, large-scale sculptures by women artists for the National Gallery’s Sculpture Garden.

Giving artists the opportunity to extend their practise and realise ambitious projects of a complex nature, Art Makers x NGA will be delivered annually from 2022 and feature works of art by Linda Marrinon (2022) and Janet Fieldhouse (2023), with the 2024 artist announcement coming soon.

The first of the three commissions, Marrinon’s Woman in jumpsuit 2022 is among her most ambitious works to date. Standing over three metres high and looking over Lake Burley Griffin, the brightly painted bronze is on display in the Sculpture Garden until September 2023.

Art Makers x National Gallery is a Know My Name project.
