Planning visits
  • All groups must be booked.
  • Professional development for teachers is available at both venues.
  • Discounted entry ($5 per student) for booked student groups. Supervising teachers admitted free (1:20).

An Education Kit for teachers and students is provided when a booking to visit the Gallery has been made. The kit is designed for pre- and post-visit use, and includes reproductions, information and questions exploring the contribution of Pierre Bonnard as both a painter and printmaker.

The Education Kit contains

  • A chronology of important events in the life of Bonnard
  • An essay on the context and contribution of Bonnard
  • A glossary of terms and list of further reading
  • 12 full-colour A4 reproductions of paintings and prints from the exhibition with text relevant to the image and questions to be answered by students either singly or in groups.

A catalogue is available, providing in-depth essays investigating Bonnard's life and work. The catalogue is fully illustrated in colour and published by the National Gallery of Australia. It is available @ ngashop.com.au - click on 'Bonnard'.
