Join Deirdre Cannon, Assistant Curator, Australian Art, for a talk on Australian women sculptors of the early twentieth century, focusing on artist and jeweller Jean Broome Norton (1911–2002).
In this talk, Deirdre will explore the training Broome-Norton and her contemporaries undertook at the East Sydney Technical College in the 1920s and 30s, and how their works represent important stylistic advances of the interwar period.
