Join Seoul and Berlin-based contemporary artist, Haegue Yang in conversation with Russell Storer (Head Curator, International Art) to celebrate the opening of her exhibition Changing From From To From.

From industrial objects to labour-intensive craft techniques, Yang utilises diverse materials and methods in her sculptural works. This conversation will explore the techniques, cultural traditions and historical references that inform the artist’s practice.

Featured in the exhibition is the sculptural work Sonic Intermediates – Three Differential Equations (2020), which when activated, fills the space with a ritualistic rattling of bells. Following the conversation, onsite audiences are encouraged to view an activation of these works at 12.30pm in the exhibition space (Gallery 15, Level 1).

Both onsite and online audiences will have the opportunity to ask questions.

This event will be Auslan interpreted and live captioned for onsite and online audiences.

Duration: 60 mins including Q&A.

Bookings for the online event will close at 9am AEST Saturday 27 May. The online event will be live streamed to this page on the day of the event. If you are having trouble accessing the online event please contact us on +61 2 6240 6411 or post your question to slido.com.
