Join leading Australian artist and fashion designer, Grace Lillian Lee, Meriam Mir people, in conversation with Tina Baum, Senior Curator, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, Gulumirrgin (Larrakia)/Wardaman/Karajarri peoples, for a talk in Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia.
In this talk, Grace will speak about her work Future Woven Floral Forms, 2020, which is on display as part of the exhibition Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia.
Tina will also share the history and process of curating this major survey exhibition and introduce the six overarching themes that interlink throughout the exhibition: Ancestors + Creators; Country + Constellations; Community + Family; Culture + Ceremony; Trade + Influence; and Resistance + Colonisation.
