Email marketing service provider update

The National Gallery uses Wordfly, an email marketing service provider, to communicate with our audiences via email. Wordfly is used by many arts, cultural and not-for-profit organisations in Australia and around the world.

On 28 July, we let you know that Wordfly experienced a global network outage due to a ransomware incident. Our previous statement can be found here.

Wordfly has confirmed that none of the Gallery’s data (such as names or email addresses of those subscribed to our communications) was impacted and that there is no evidence that any of this data has been, or will be, misused or publicly disclosed.

We continue to take privacy very seriously and safeguarding personal information remains our priority. If you have subscribed to receive communications from us, you do not need to do anything. We are investigating our options to restore email communications with our subscribers, and we appreciate your patience during this time.

For further information about Wordfly’s response to this incident, please visit the Wordfly website.
