Art Labs are artist-led workshops connecting young audiences nationally with artists, artmaking and the national collection.
In this Art Lab, you will dive into the world of live coding with ANU Computer Scientist and AR musician, Charles Martin.
Live coding is creating music and art with computer programming in real-time. You will learn how to write codes that makes unique sounds and visuals. By the end, we will have our own computer music jam session with the group! It's a fun way to mix creativity and technology.
Coding experience is not required.
This Art Lab is an opportunity to explore connections between computing and creative arts. These connections are central to Jordan Wolfson’s Body Sculpture, a major acquisition for the National Gallery’s collection, which works with the interface between art history and new technology.
What to bring:
Make sure you bring your headphones and own water bottle. Headphones are essential for the workshop.
