Deep inside my heart with Lucina Ward
For parents and carers with babies in arms
Free, booking essential
Duration: 45 minutes including Q&A
Please meet staff at the Main Entry of the Gallery at 11am. We will travel together to Gallery 15 on Level 1 for an 11.15am start.
Join us as we celebrate the lead up to International Women’s Day with a special talk led by Lucina Ward (Senior Curator, International Art) in Deep inside my heart. This exhibition delves into the works of prominent female artists who use representations of the body to express themes of politics, gender and identity.
This program is designed for parents and carers to attend with their babies in a baby safe environment. We will have tactile objects available to help keep babies engaged during the floor talk.
Breastfeeding is welcomed throughout the Gallery and a Parents Room is also available on Level 1. There is easy pram access (including lifts), and infants may be carried in a soft baby carrier on the front or back.
Babies in Arms is a monthly program for adults in a baby friendly environment. All parents and carers are welcome to attend.
Deep inside my heart is on display at the National Gallery, 25 Nov 2023 – 19 Mar 2024.
