Inaugural members

The National Gallery’s visionary inaugural members have given 40 years of sustained support.

Inaugural members commenced their support in 1982 when the National Gallery of Australia was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II.

We are immensely grateful to these wonderful individuals for their longstanding support.

To celebrate their generosity on the occasion of the National Gallery’s 40th anniversary, inaugural members received a limited-edition enamel pin designed by Australian fashion pioneers Linda Jackson AO and Jenny Kee AO.

Inaugural members who continue their support by renewing their membership receive a complimentary invitation to an annual Director’s Event with Dr Nick Mitzevich as an expression of our appreciation.
