eX de Medici's 'Spectre2'

Published 2016

Ex de Medici talks about the controversies that arose after ‘Spectre #1 (Swastika)’ and ‘Spectre #2 (Triskele)’ were exhibited in 1997 sparking a Neo Nazi rally in Faulkner, Melbourne. Her Triskele had been appropriated and used as a modern swastika for the rally. Ex de Medici goes on to talk about tattooing as being an another part of her practice. Further talks about imagery that has inspired much of her works including skulls and weapons.
