National Gallery Assistant Curator Simeran Maxwell takes us on a tour of some of her favourite works in Matisse & Picasso – uncovering their shared connection to the work of Paul Cezanne, the differing perspectives, collaborations with the Ballet Russes and the unique back and forth between the two artists until after Matisse's passing in 1954.
