In recognition of Gallery’s 40th anniversary, this major new presentation of the Australia art collection tells wide-ranging and complex stories of Australian art, creating conversations across time, place, and cultural perspectives and recognising the fundamental importance of First Nations artists and knowledges to Australian cultural life.
Join with Dr Deborah Hart, Henry Dalrymple Head Curator, Australian Art and National Gallery Curators Tina Baum, Rebecca Blake and Dr Rebecca Edwards for an introduction to the newly opened presentation of the Australian art collection and to explore highlights of the display including works by artists Rosalie Gascoigne, Fiona Hall, Inge King, Laurie Nona and Uncle Ken Thaiday Snr.
