About
The works in this exhibition use a remarkable range of media moving through painting, sculpture and applied arts and take audiences on a journey from the early 20th century through to the present day. Abstraction will unveil superb masterworks from the national collection, some of which have never been seen before, and tell stories that have remained untold for decades. It will include artists such as Margaret Preston, Dorrit Black, Grace Crowley, Anne Dangar through to Inge King, Yvonne Audette, Margo Lewers, Virginia Cuppaidge, Janet Dawson into contemporary practitioners such as Elizabeth Coats, and Melinda Harper, among others.
