What is it About Paint? With Adriane Boag
Join Adriane Boag (Access Programs Convenor) for a special talk on the national collection focused on the ubiquitous art medium of paint.
Starting at Jackson Pollock’s Blue Poles, Adriane takes you on a tour of the Worldwide collection display focused on pigment, colour and light, texture, technique and the ways artists use paint to reflect on contemporary issues and ideas.
Adriane Boag has experience within the visual arts in museum and gallery education and public programs, as a practicing artist, in artist run initiatives, in tertiary visual arts education and for almost twenty years as an Educator and Program lead at the National Gallery of Australia. Adriane represents the Gallery’s acclaimed Art and Dementia Program nationally and internationally as a speaker (TEDx Canberra 2016, Communicating the Arts, Montreal 2019) and through the two-day Art and Dementia training workshop delivered in over 30 galleries and museums across Australia.
