This poem was commissioned in response to Fiona Foley’s HHH.

HHH/KKK by Andrew Moss is an ekphrastic poem, commissioned in partnership with Red Room Poetry with the intention of amplifying connections between poetry and works in the national collection. An ekphrastic poem is a vivid description, written in response to a work of art.

Andrew Geoffrey Kwabena Moss is a writer and teacher who has lived in the UK, Japan and currently Australia. Of Anglo-Ghanaian heritage, his work seeks to explore liminal landscapes, complex identities and constructs of race. Andrew's work has been widely published internationally including Afropean, Sundress Publications and The Caribbean Writer among others. Most recently, his work is featured in 'The Best New British and Irish Poets Anthology 2019-2021', The Black Spring Press Group. Andrew has received a Best of the Net Award, Pushcart Prize and Rhysling Award nominations for his poetry. He is a selected author in the Year’s Best African Speculative Fiction 2022 anthology.

Presented in partnership with Red Room Poetry.
