The Rights and Permissions department at the National Gallery provides access and licenses to a range of image reproductions of works of art in the national collection.

Research Library & Archives


The National Gallery Research Library & Archives holds catalogues from all past exhibitions in its collection. The Library and Archives welcomes visiting researchers with valid reader's tickets by appointment. You can find information about how to schedule an appointment or apply for a gallery reader's ticket on our Library and Archives FAQ page. You can also search through the Library's catalogue here.
